GDPR Statement
General Data Protection Regulations May 2018.
The General Data Protection Regulations 2018 encompasses the older Data Protection Act and has improved the individual’s rights to access their personal data held by organisations and provide clearer guidance to organisations as to how they must comply and handle these personal data.
Any personal information that Members have provided to Twyford Bowling Club will be stored securely and used only to enable the management of many of its functions:
- For the administration of the Club, the distribution of circulars and the provision of name and address list to Committee Members on the proviso that such lists must not be passed on or copied
- For any other purpose as agreed by the Committee or AGM which is not contrary to the GDPR 2018 regulations
The data is not disclosed without the consent of the individual Members except in very specific circumstances laid out in the act (disclosure for national security reasons for example).
All data will be reviewed annually and deleted as required.
Members will be asked annually on their Renewal Form to agree to the Club holding this data.
No data will be held which expresses any opinion about an individual (e.g. playing ability).
Our lawful basis for processing your personal information is for the legitimate interest for the successful running of Twyford Bowling Club. Other than as stated above, your personal information will never be passed to any third party.
You can request a copy of your details, have them amended or request that they are not used for any of the above stated purposes by contacting the Club Secretary. Note: if you do request that this data is no longer held you will no longer be able to receive any communications.
Members’ information will be retained for the duration of their membership of Twyford Bowling Club and for a further period of twelve months.
If at any time you feel we have misused your personal information please contact us. If you are not satisfied our response you have the right to make a formal complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
